The first pure EBM band from Australia ? Very possibly... Angel Theory is pure in it's electronics, including completely original dancefloor songs to slow moods, dark melodies and genuine depth of character. There's no wings, clouds or anything so cliched, as founder Charles Fenech notes, the name is about the contradictions and his music creates this picture with searing personal emotions across an almost plastic genre.

About Angel Theory's Black + Blue EP
After playing Black + Blue on some European shows in encore - the ravashing bass got warm welcome and many toes a-tapping. Since then we've known that 'Black + Blue' was going to be the EP leading up to the 2nd Angel Theory album titled 'Re-Possession' mid-late 2005.
The Black + Blue EP will get to debut on the merchandise stand at Aprils American shows [playing with Assemblage 23 + Terrorfakt] and the worlds largest goth/industrial festival Wave-Gotik-Treffen in May.
As with the 'Transmission' EP Angel Theory gets to rub shoulders with the genres masters, Mr. Daniel Myer [Haujobb, Architect, Clear Vision] has presented a very eiry mix, while Lights of Euphoria brings in the beats and technoid squeekings as Terrorfakt put the distortion dial to '11'. Netherlands new act Black Selket brings us their solid EBM style to the foray while New Zealands The Mercy Cage cranks up 'Ease The Pain' [original from the 'Fatal Condition' album] - Tankt spookifies a new album track with its roots in minimal electro/IDM while finally Angel Theory creates a less known cover from Simple Minds of 'Theme From Great Cities'. Who could want more ?

About Angel Theory's debut album Fatal Condition
fatal condition is electronic purity: original dancefloor songs and slow moods, dark melodies and genuine depth of character. as noted by australian founder charles fenech, Angel Theory refers not to wings, to clouds or to clichés it’s about contradictions and extremes. black or white, up versus down, love with hate, loss and gain - Angel Theory sears personal emotions across the otherwise plastic genre.
fatal condition is bereft of boring electro-clichés. the mechanical loops confront the emotional vocals as you are transported to a new world full of dancing, melancholy drifting through the sound of forever.
Angel Theory appeals to a wide electronic community. fans of covenant and haujobb won’t want to miss Angel Theory, while there are elements extending to nine inch nails, gridlock + vnv nation fans alike.

About Angel Theory's debut Transmission EP
get ready to vanish into the dancefloor haze of an over enthusiastic smoke machine: GUP titles have often had a strong dancefloor element, but none-so like transmission. aside from the classic-destined original, lemonsoul have stared the bass between the eyes to give a very strong seminal dark pop experience. GUP's own stark twists the song into a crazy-distorted frenzy. covenant attack the stereo on all frequencies while Angel Theory's own ‘ignited’ picks up the pace one more time...
transmission defies the industry standard of providing a smoke screen of boring remixes: Angel Theory even ups the ante with bonus tracks. 'in dreams' slows down the pace and is an excellent example of the unique electro to be experienced on the album fatal condition. 'fashion' gets david bowie in an aesthetic head-lock; this cover version will pack the dancefloor before you can say “is this a decent bowie cover I can hear?”. 'paranoia' brings you the emotional extreme of Angel Theory, meticulous and precise electronic sounds and foreboding atmospheres on a palette of broken experiences.
transmission is an excellent introduction for Angel Theory: an incredible release on it's own merit while promoting the forthcoming album.
